SEAT BELT: REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the outer belt with the 4 nuts Reassembly.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)
(b) Install the rear seat shoulder belt cover RH Reassembly.
(c) Install the rear seatback board sub-assembly RH Reassembly.
(d) Install the rear seat shoulder belt guide center Reassembly.
(e) Install the anchor part of the outer belt with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part to overlap onto the protruding part of the inner belt RH.
(f) With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed.
If the operation is not as specified, replace the belt.
(g) Check the fastening function of the child restraint system.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed.
(1) When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically try to retract.
(2) After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again.
If the operation is not as specified, replace the belt.
2. INSTALL NO. 1 DECK BOARD
(a) Install the No. 1 deck board.
(b) Install the 2 rope hooks with the 2 bolts.
3. INSTALL DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the outer belt with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)
NOTE: Do not allow the anchor part to overlap onto the protruding part of the floor panel.
(b) With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
If operation is not as specified, replace the belt.
(c) Check the fastening function of the child restraint system.
NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
(1) When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically try to retract.
(2) After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again.
If the operation is not as specified, replace the belt.
5. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER LH Installation
6. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH Installation
7. INSTALL BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE Installation
8. INSTALL SIDE NO. 1 TRIM ASSEMBLY LH Installation
9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation
10. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH Installation
11. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Installation
12. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY
13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
14. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Testing and Inspection.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
