IMPORTANT: Before proceeding:
^ If there are aftermarket components installed or in use in vehicle that may be causing complaint, refer to Chart 15, "Radio Noise Entering Through Radio (Sideway Noise)" then return to this chart. Chart 15
^ If noise is in conjunction with poor reception, go to Chart 13, "Poor Reception." Chart 13
^ To distinguish between noise or poor reception, perform the "System Performance Check - Noise or Poor Reception". System Performance Check - Noise Or Poor Reception
^ If noise is only present when a switch is activated, refer to Chart 22, "Switch Pop or Accessory Noise" before proceeding. Chart 22
^ Check for any technical service bulletins on radio noise.
