Diagnostic Chart 22:

IMPORTANT: This chart is for noise related to the activation or operation of a switch or accessory. For example, a pop noise is heard when the brakes are applied or a hum is heard when the A/C is used. Frequently an aftermarket cellular telephone, with an antenna inside the vehicle, may cause popping. Make sure the customer has not removed the telephone before the vehicle was left for service, refer to "Popping Noise".
