Removal and Installation


REMOVAL

1.Turn the power switch ON.

CAUTION:
Never set the vehicle to READY.
2.Release the parking brake.

CAUTION:
If the brake cannot be released, release it manually. Refer to "Parking Brake Actuator" Description and Operation.
3.Turn the power switch OFF.
4.Disconnect 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to "Precaution for Removing 12V Battery" Precaution For Removing 12V Battery.
5.Remove rear diffuser. Refer to "REAR DIFFUSER : Removal and Installation" .
6.Disconnect parking brake actuator harness connector.
7.Remove cable of parking brake actuator mounting nut from vehicle.
8.Loosen adjust nut. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.
9.Remove cable of parking brake actuator with the following procedure.





a.Pull equalizer (1) in rearward direction.
b.Pull cable (2) of parking brake actuator downward to remove cable of parking brake actuator from equalizer.





c.Press the paw (1) to remove cable of parking brake actuator from bracket.





10.Remove emergency release cable (A) of parking brake actuator from vehicle.
11.Remove parking brake actuator from vehicle.

CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the parts, never drop remove parts.

INSTALLATION

Note the following, and install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform parking brake actuator 0 point learning when electric parking brake control module is removed and installed, or replaced. Refer to "Work Procedure" Work Procedure.
- Perform adjustment after installation. Refer to "Inspection" Inspection.
