QT4 Check Warning Indicator With Engine Running

- Start the engine.

NOTE: Certain ABS faults require that the vehicle be driven in order for the warning indicator to come on. Other faults will cause the warning indicator to illuminate each time the engine is started.

- Drive the vehicle if necessary.

- Does the anti-lock brake warning indicator illuminate?

YES -- (Retrieve codes using Super STAR II Tester). Indicates a present failure. Proceed to Quick Test Step QT5. QT5 Perform Super Star II Hookup

YES -- (Retrieve codes using VOM). Indicates a present failure. Proceed to Quick Test Step QT6. QT6 Perform VOM Hookup

YES -- (Retrieve codes using NGS Tester). Indicates a present failure. Proceed to Quick Test Step QT7. QT7 Connect New Generation Star Tester

NO -- (Warning indicator not illuminated). Normal operation. If ABS symptom exists, Go to Pinpoint Test G1. G1 Check Anti-Lock Brake Warning Operation
