Installation

1UR-FSE STARTING: STARTER (for 2WD): INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the flywheel housing side cover.

(b) Install the terminal lower cover with the nut.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Make sure the flywheel housing cover is as shown in the illustration.

(d) Install the wire harness with the nut.

Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 88 in-lbf)

(e) Connect the starter connector.

(f) Install the terminal upper cover.

2. INSTALL NO. 3 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Install the heat insulator with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR Installation

5. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE Installation

6. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH

(a) Install the front suspension member reinforcement with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 39 ft-lbf)

7. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

(a) Install the engine under cover with the clip and screw.

8. CONNECT FRONT STABILIZER BAR Installation

9. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR RH Installation

10. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR LH Installation

11. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the front exhaust pipe Installation.

12. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the generator Installation.

13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

14. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation

15. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
