Installation

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.





NOTICE:
When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Attach the clip to install the driver side knee airbag.

(c) Install the 4 bolts.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

(d) Attach the claw to install the lock lever.

(e) Install the control cable.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

3. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Installation

6. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/o Driver Monitor Camera) Installation

7. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/ Driver Monitor Camera) Installation

8. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING Installation

9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Installation

10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Installation

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

12. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light Initialization.
