Rear Magnetic Valve Circuit

AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM: Rear Magnetic Valve Circuit
- Rear Magnetic Valve Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The rear cooler expansion valve (rear magnetic valve) is controlled by the rear junction block ECU and the air conditioning amplifier via the CAN communication line.

HINT
This circuit uses the CAN communication line. Before performing the inspection, check that the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

Result

B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

C -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER Removal
A -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT FUSE (RR-IG1-2)

(a) Remove the RR-IG1-2 fuse from the luggage room junction block.

(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS - REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)

(a) Disconnect the S28 rear air conditioning harness connector.

(b) Disconnect the S62 rear junction block ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. REPLACE REAR MAGNETIC VALVE

HINT
Since the rear magnetic valve cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the rear magnetic valve with a normal one and check that the condition returns to normal.

OK:

Same problem does not occur.

OK -- END (REAR MAGNETIC VALVE IS FAULTY)
NG -- Continue to next step.

5. REPLACE REAR AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS

HINT
Replace the rear air conditioning harness with a normal one and check that the condition returns to normal Disassembly.

OK:

Same problem does not occur.

NG -- REPLACE REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU

OK -- END (REAR AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS IS FAULTY)
