Removal





PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE PEDAL: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT

2. REMOVE MULTI-MEDIA MODULE ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System for DVD) Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR Removal

4. REMOVE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Disengage the clamp.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 console box mounting bracket.

6. REMOVE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER REINFORCEMENT

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and front floor center reinforcement.





8. LOOSEN ADJUSTING NUT

(a) Remove the lock nut and loosen the adjusting nut.

9. SEPARATE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE PULL ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Separate the No. 1 parking brake pull rod sub-assembly from the parking brake control pedal assembly as shown in the illustration.

10. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 5 bolts and nut, and separate the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.





(b) Disengage the cable from the clamp.

(c) Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.





(d) Disengage the wire harness clamp.

(e) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and parking brake control pedal assembly.
