1UR-FSE EMISSION CONTROL: PURGE VALVE: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization

2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the vacuum switching valve assembly connector.





(b) Disconnect the 2 purge line hoses from the vacuum switching valve assembly.

(c) Remove the bolt and vacuum switching valve assembly.

HINT
The vacuum switching valve assembly is the purge valve.
