BRAKE: BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER (for 1UR-FSE): REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

Vehicle Stability Control System (w/o VDIM)

2. DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL Service and Repair

3. PERFORM ACCUMULATOR ZERO DOWN Service and Repair

4. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.

5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

7. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

8. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR TO FRONT SIDE SEAL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR TO FRONT SIDE SEAL SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH Removal

15. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB ASSEMBLY Removal

16. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

NOTICE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, wash or otherwise remove it completely.

17. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

18. REMOVE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY Removal

19. REMOVE SKID CONTROL ECU BRACKET

20. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WITH ACTUATOR BRACKET Removal

21. REMOVE RESERVOIR TUBE NO.1 HOSE

(a) Remove the clip and reservoir tube No.1 hose.





22. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH FRONT Removal

23. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER PANEL Removal

24. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Removal

25. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

26. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Removal

27. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Removal

28. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER NO.1 SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

29. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD NO.1 SUB- ASSEMBLY Removal

30. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY NO.1 LOWER Removal

31. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

(a) Remove the brake pedal return spring.

32. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Remove the clip and the push rod pin, then separate the push rod clevis.





33. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY WITH SIMULATOR

(a) Disconnect the connectors and clamp.





(b) Remove the 4 nuts and brake master cylinder with simulator.





34. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET

(a) Remove the gasket from the brake master cylinder assembly with simulator.
