SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM (for 4WD): INSTALLATION
SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
1. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM
2. INSTALL LOWER ARM NO.2 BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Temporarily tighten the lower arm No.2 bracket sub-assembly to the front suspension lower arm with the nut and washer.
3. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT Installation
4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM
(a) Install the front suspension lower arm and side rail plate with the 4 bolts.
Bolt 1 - Torque: 204 Nm (2,080 kgf-cm, 150 ft-lbf)
Bolt 2 - Torque: 86 Nm (877 kgf-cm, 63 ft-lbf)
Bolt 3 - Torque: 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf)
(b) Insert the front suspension camber No.1 from the rear of the vehicle. Then install the front suspension camber No.2 adjust cam and loosely tighten the nut.
NOTICE:
Align the matchmarks before installation.
HINT:
Fully tighten the nut after stabilizing the suspension.
(c) Install the front lower ball joint with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 120 Nm (1,220 kgf-cm, 89 ft-lbf)
5. INSTALL FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING Installation
6. CONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY Installation
7. CONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY Installation
8. CONNECT FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER ARM Installation
9. CONNECT SPEED SENSOR FRONT Installation
10. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation
11. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING Installation
12. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM
(a) Fully tighten the bolt on the front of the front suspension lower arm.
Torque: 119 Nm (1,210 kgf-cm, 88 ft-lbf)
NOTICE:
Align the matchmarks before installation.
(b) Fully tighten the installation nut of the lower arm No.2 bracket sub-assembly.
Torque: 113 Nm (1,152 kgf-cm, 83 ft-lbf)
13. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
14. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
15. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
