Removal





HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

7. REMOVE HOOD CENTER CUSHION Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal

10. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER Removal

12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal

13. REMOVE HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE SMOG VENTILATION SENSOR (w/ Smog Ventilation Sensor) Removal

15. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage each clamp.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock support sub-assembly.

16. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

17. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

18. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge tube sub-assembly.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge tube sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

19. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

20. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT Removal

21. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 cooler brackets.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and Remove the cooler condenser assembly as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
* Due to the potential of damaging the brackets, do not allow the brackets to touch the vehicle body etc. while installing the condenser.
* Do not allow the condenser to contact the vehicle body or radiator while installing the condenser.
* When storing the condenser, do not put the brackets facing down (toward the ground) because this may cause damage to the brackets.
