Removal





2GR-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal Navigation System (For HDD).

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER Removal

4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

7. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

10. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Removal

11. REMOVE BATTERY Removal

12. REMOVE HOOD CENTER CUSHION Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose from the radiator.





(b) Disconnect the 2 clamps and remove the bolt and radiator reserve tank from the radiator.





15. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator.





16. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator.





17. DISCONNECT INLET OIL COOLER HOSE

(a) Disconnect the inlet oil cooler hose and clamp from the radiator.





18. DISCONNECT OUTLET OIL COOLER HOSE

(a) Remove the outlet oil cooler hose.





19. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal

20. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Removal

21. REMOVE SMOG VENTILATION SENSOR Removal

22. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER Removal

23. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal

24. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

(a) Disconnect the 3 clamps of the hood lock control cable and remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.





25. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts, 4 brackets and radiator assembly.

(c) Disconnect the 3 wire harness clamps and connector.





(d) Remove the radiator assembly and fan assembly with motor.





NOTICE:
Do not apply any excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when removing the radiator assembly.

(e) Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator.

(f) Remove the 2 bolts.





(g) Release the claw and pull up the fan assembly with motor from the radiator assembly to remove the fan assembly with motor.
