C10 Check For Short to Ignition

C10 CHECK FOR SHORT TO IGNITION





1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the harness connector.
3. With EM007 and EM046 disconnected, measure the resistance between EM007/030 and EM007/0544.
4. Repeat for EM007/033 and EM007/054
5. EM007/032 and EM007/054.
- Is the resistance greater than 10 M ohms?
Yes --> Reconnect EM046, GO to [C11] C11 Check Internal Harness and Component Continuity (Solenoids)
No --> Inspect EM007 for corrosion, bent / pushed back pins or locate and repair the harness. Test the system for normal operation.
