ROOF LOCK ASSEMBLY : Removal and Installation


REMOVAL


CAUTION:
Protect the rear fender with a fender protector.
NOTE:
Operate roof manually if it does not operate electrically. Refer to "Manual Operation" Procedures.





1.Stop roof as shown in the figure (during open operation).

CAUTION:
Be careful of the roof and rear parcel shelf unit positions when operating, because roof may drop little by little and may interfere with rear parcel shelf unit when roof is in the middle position for a long period of time.
2.Remove front roof garnish. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.





3.Remove headlining and main cord mounting TORX screw (LH/
RH) (A) from front roof panel front side.





4.Pull ball joint side downward and remove rod.





5.Remove snap pin (1), and then remove roof lock assembly rod from plate.
6.Remove mounting bolts, and then remove plate.
7.Remove mounting bolts, and then remove roof lock assembly and shims.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
- Perform initialization according to the work after installing roof lock assembly. Refer to "Description" Description.
- Adjust door glass and quarter window glass. Refer to "Inspection and Adjustment" Procedures.
- Perform water leakage test. Refer to "Water Leakage Test" Water Leakage Test.
