Trunk Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement
4-door
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body.
- Take care not to bend the cylinder rod.
1. For some models: Remove the trunk lid trim Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Trunk Lid (4-Door).
2. Disconnect the cylinder rod (A), and if equipped, disconnect the cylinder switch connector (B).
NOTE: If the rod fastener (C) is damaged or stress-whitened, replace it with a new one.
3. Remove the lock cylinder mounting bolt securing the lock cylinder (A).
4. Remove the rear license trim Rear License Trim Replacement (4-Door).
5. Remove the lock cylinder mounting bolt securing the lock cylinder (A).
6. Turn the lock cylinder (A) to release the hook (B) from the trunk lid (C), then remove the lock cylinder.
7. Install the lock cylinder in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Replace the rod fastener with a new one.
- For some models: Make sure the cylinder switch connector is plugged in properly.
- Make sure the cylinder rod is connected properly.
- Make sure the trunk lid opens properly and locks securely.
