Seat Track - Front
Removal
NOTICE: If the passenger seat is equipped with an Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) bladder system, to prevent system failure, it is necessary to carry out the OCS system reset when a front passenger seat cushion is disassembled, a new cushion cover is installed or an OCS system service kit is installed. A scan tool is used to carry out the OCS system reset.
NOTE: An Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) bladder system, an OCS system service kit has the electrical connector glued to the Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM). It cannot and should not be disconnected or altered.
NOTE: If equipped with an OCS bladder system, to install an OCS service kit, refer to Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) in the Removal and Installation portion of Restraint Systems.
NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Front Seat - Exploded View, Front.
All seats
1. Remove the seat backrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Front Seat Backrest - Front.
2. NOTE: To identify the OCS system, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Front Seat - Exploded View, Front.
For a passenger seat equipped with a bladder type OCS service kit, remove the OCS. For additional information, refer to Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) in the Removal and Installation portion of Restraint Systems.
3. NOTE: Driver seat track shown, passenger similar.
If equipped, at the front of the seat track, disconnect the cushion heater mat electrical connector and separate the wire harness retainer.
4. Detach the cushion cover retainers and remove the cushion cover and foam pad from the cushion frame.
5. Remove the bolt and safety belt buckle and pretensioner.
- Disconnect the electrical connector and detach the wire harness.
6. Remove the seat position sensor. For additional information, refer to Seat Position Sensor in the Removal and Installation portion of Restraint Systems.
7. If equipped, remove the Driver Seat Module (DSM). Refer to the Driver Seat Module (DSM) procedure in Body Control Systems.
8. If equipped, remove the Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM). For additional information, refer to Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM).
9. If equipped, remove the heated seat module. For additional information, refer to Heated Seat Module - Front Heated Seat Module - Front.
10. For a passenger seat equipped with an OCS weight sensor bolt system, remove the OCSM. For additional information, refer to Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM) in the Removal and
Installation portion of Restraint Systems.

11. NOTE: Power seat track on top, manual below.
Remove the OCSM.
1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. NOTE: Only on manual track.
Bend the locking tab down (if equipped).
3. Remove the 2 screws.
12. NOTE: Power seat track on top, manual below.
Separate the pressure sensor.
1. Bend the locking tab down.
2. Slide the pressure sensor off the bracket.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
13. Detach the OCS bladder pin-type retainers.
14. NOTE: Power seat track on top, manual below.
Route the OCS system hose and pressure sensor through the cushion support wires.
Seats with cushion massage
15. Detach the hose retainer.
16. Detach the cushion massage pin-type retainers.
17. Route the cushion massage assembly hoses through the cushion support wires and remove the assembly.
All seats
18. If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector, detach the 4 retainers and remove the cushion Thermo-Electric Device (TED).
19. Remove the cushion wire harness.
- Note the cushion wire harness routing for driver seat or passenger seat with a bladder type OCS system.
Installation
All seats
1. If equipped, position the cushion TED and attach the 4 retainers.
2. For a passenger seat equipped with an OCS bladder service kit, install the OCS. For additional information, refer to Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) in
Restraint Systems.

3. NOTICE: Failure to route the Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) components through the correct seat cushion support opening can cause component failure.
NOTE: Power seat track on top, manual below.
Position the hose through the cushion support wires.
4. Attach the bladder pin-type retainers.
5. Attach the pressure sensor in the following sequence.
1. Bend the locking tab up.
2. Slide the pressure sensor on the bracket and engage the locking tab.
6. Install the OCSM in the following sequence.
1. Bend the locking tab up (if equipped).
2. Slide the OCSM over the locking tab (if equipped) and back into position.
3. Install the 2 screws.
Seats with cushion massage
7. Position the cushion massage hoses through the cushion support wires.
8. Install the cushion massage pin-type retainers.
9. Attach the hose retainer.
All seats
10. For a passenger seat equipped with an OCS weight sensor bolt system, install the OCSM. For additional information, refer to the Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM) procedure in
Restraint Systems.
11. If equipped, install the heated seat module. For additional information, refer to Heated Seat Module - Front Heated Seat Module - Front.
12. If equipped, install the DCSM. For additional information, refer to Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM).
13. If equipped, install the DSM. Refer to the Driver Seat Module (DSM) procedure in Body Control Systems.
14. Install the seat position sensor. For additional information, refer to the Seat Position Sensor in the Removal and Installation portion of Restraint Systems.
15. Position the safety belt buckle and pretensioner and install the bolt.
- Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- Connect the electrical connector and attach the wire harness.
16. Position and attach the cushion cover retainers to the cushion frame and seat track.
- If equipped, connect the cushion heater mat electrical connector and attach the retainers.
- Do not attach the outboard cushion cover retainers, if equipped with manual lumbar.
17. Install the cushion wire harness.
- For correct passenger seat cushion wire harness routing with an OCS weight sensor bolt system, refer to Seat Wire Harness Routing Seat Wire Harness Routing.
- For passenger seat with a bladder OCS system, route the cushion wire harness as noted during removal.
18. Install the front seat backrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Front Seat Backrest - Front.
- If a new seat track has been installed on a driver seat with memory, operate the seat in all directions through the full range of travel to set soft stops and avoid a premature stopping point occurrence after the vehicle is returned to the customer.
