Normal Operation
The rear control unit (RCU) (also referred to as the audio unit) sends an amplified, varying AC voltage to the speakers. The AC voltage is converted to sound through the magnetic coil and speaker cone. Each speaker has a signal and return circuit and the number of speakers varies, depending on the system configuration.
Possible Causes
- Circuit 800 (GY/LB) short to voltage or ground
- Circuit 801 (TN/YE) short to voltage or ground
- Circuit 802 (OG/RD) short to voltage or ground
- Circuit 803 (BN/PK) short to voltage or ground
- Circuit 804 (OG/LG) short to voltage or ground
- Circuit 805 (WH/LG) short to voltage or ground
- Circuit 811 (DG/OG) short to voltage or ground
- Circuit 813 (LB/WH) short to voltage or ground
