SYMPTOM
P-0320 NO CRANK REFERENCE SIGNAL AT PCM
WHEN MONITORED
During engine cranking, with battery voltage less than 11.5 volts and manifold vacuum present.
SET CONDITION
No signal from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor during engine cranking or there is a camshaft position sensor signal without a CKP sensor signal.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- CKP sensor ground circuit open
- CMP def
- 8-volt supply circuit open
- 8-volt supply circuit short to ground
- CKP sensor signal circuit open
- CKP sensor signal circuit short to ground
- CMP & CKP sensor wiring harness intermittent def
- CMP & CKP sensor wiring harness observable def
- Crankshaft defective
- Crankshaft notches damaged
- PCM def (no crank)
- PCM defective (CMP and CKP)
