Power Brake Booster - Installation

LHD BRAKE BOOSTER





1. Install a new booster gasket (3).
2. Align and position the booster (1) on the dash panel.
3. Lubricate the pedal pin with Mopar(R) multi-mileage grease.
4. Install the booster retaining nuts (2). Tighten to 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.).




5. Install the brake rod pin (2) and retaining clip (4).




6. Check the condition of the grommet (2) that secures the check valve in the booster (3). Replace the grommet if it is worn or damaged. Install the vacuum hose (1) to booster check valve.
7. Install the master cylinder with a new gasket and retaining nuts. Master Cylinder - Installation.

WARNING: THE MASTER CYLINDER INSTALLATION PROCEDURE MUST BE PERFORMED AS WRITTEN OR DAMAGE TO THE BOOSTER/MASTER CYLINDER MAY OCCUR.

8. Fill and bleed the brake system.
- Manual bleeding: Brake Bleeding.
- Pressure bleeding: Brake Bleeding.
