Headlining Front Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning

Do not attempt to repair or alter the head impact energy-absorbing material glued to the headliner or to the garnish trims. If the material is damaged, replace the headliner and/or the garnish trim. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.





1. Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement.

2. Disconnect the headliner electrical connectors.

3. Remove the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement Sunshade Replacement.

4. Remove the sunshade support retainer. Refer to Sunshade Anchor Replacement Sunshade Anchor Replacement.

5. Remove the front door upper pillar garnish molding. Refer to Upper Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement Upper Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement.

6. Partially remove the upper part of the front door opening weather strips. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement.

7. Remove the front headliner retainers.

8. Remove the front headliner from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





Note:
When installing a new headliner, tape any unused connector to the headliner with a high adhesive tape.

1. Install the front headliner to the vehicle.

2. Install the front headliner retainers.

3. Connect the headliner electrical connectors.

4. Install the sunshade support retainer. Refer to Sunshade Anchor Replacement Sunshade Anchor Replacement.

5. Install the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement Sunshade Replacement.

6. Install the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement.

7. Install the front door upper pillar garnish molding. Refer to Upper Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement Upper Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement.

8. Install the front door opening weather strips. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement.
