Front Charge Air Cooling Circuit Radiator






Front Charge Air Cooling Circuit Radiator

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hose Clamps Up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)

Drip Tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208)

Removing






- Remove the lock carrier cover - 4 -.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the air duct - 1 - from the air filter housing intermediate flange - 2 -.

- Remove the bumper cover end plate.






- Remove the left and right air intake grille - 1 -.






The bumper is not shown in the following illustrations.






- Release the retaining tabs - A arrows - and tilt the left and right air ducts - 1 - toward the center of the vehicle - arrow B -.

- Place the (VAS 6208) under the front charge air cooling circuit radiator.

Vehicles with Version 2 Front Charge Air Cooling Circuit Radiator






- Disconnect and remove the coolant hoses and (3094) , to do this, loosen the hose clamps - arrows -.

Vehicles with Version 1 Front Charge Air Cooling Circuit Radiator






- Disconnect and remove the coolant hose and (3094) , to do this, loosen the hose clamps - arrows -.

- Remove the bolt - 1 -.

- Open the clamp - 1 -. Then remove both the coolant hose and the (3094)






All Vehicles

- Press the catch downward - arrow A - and move the front charge air cooling circuit radiator in direction of - arrow B -.

- Remove the front charge air cooling circuit radiator from the radiator - arrows A - and move it in direction of - arrow B -.






- Remove the front charge air cooling circuit radiator downward from the right side - arrow C -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Radiator and Coolant Fan Overview ] Radiator and Coolant Fan Overview.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory, refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Install the bumper cover end panel.

- Install the air duct on the air filter housing intermediate flange.

- Install the lock carrier cover.

- Fill with coolant => [ Filling ] Service and Repair.

All of the coolant must be changed if the radiator was replaced.
