Ribbed Belt Tensioning Damper, Vehicles with Hydraulic Power Steering

Removing






- Remove the front engine cover - 1 - upward.

- Remove the bolt - 2 - on the left front coolant pipe.






The installation location is shown with the engine removed.

Ignore - 1 -.

- Remove the front noise insulation - 1 -.





Vehicles with Left Front Coolant Pipes, Version 1






- Remove the bolts - 2 - on the left front coolant pipes.

The installation location is shown with the engine removed.

Ignore - 1 and 3 -.

Vehicles with Left Front Coolant Pipes, Version 2






- Remove the bolt - 1 - on the left front coolant pipes.

The installation location is shown with the engine removed.

Ignore - arrows -.

All Vehicles






- Pivot the tensioner clockwise - arrow - to release the tension on the ribbed belt.

- Remove the ribbed belt from the tensioning element and release the tension on the tensioning element.

- Remove the cover - 1 - and the bolt below it.






- Remove the ribbed belt tensioner - 2 - from the cylinder block.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Ribbed Belt Drive, Vehicles with Hydraulic Power Steering Overview ] Ribbed Belt Drive, Vehicles With Hydraulic Power Steering Overview.

- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt, Vehicles with Hydraulic Power Steering ] Ribbed Belt, Vehicles With Hydraulic Power Steering.

- Install the left front coolant pipes. Refer to => [ Left Front Coolant Pipes ] Left Front Coolant Pipes.
