Luggage Compartment Side Trim

• Removal and installation are same for right and left.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry Lever - Rmv Outside Mirror (80 - 200)

Removing






- Remove the rear luggage compartment floor covering. Refer to => [ Rear Luggage Compartment Floor Covering ] Rear Luggage Compartment Floor Covering.

- Remove the front luggage compartment floor covering. Refer to => [ Front Luggage Compartment Covering ] Front Luggage Compartment Covering.

- Remove rear cross panel trim. Refer to => [ Rear Cross Panel Trim ] Rear Cross Panel Trim.

- Remove the tie-down. Refer to => [ Tie-Downs ] Tie-Downs.

- Remove the luggage compartment lamp.

- Remove the release lever for the rear seat backrest and let it hang with the cable still connected. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Backrest Release Lever ] Rear Seat Backrest Release Lever.

- Open the convertible top until the displayed position of the top and the convertible top compartment cover is reached.

- Support the convertible top with a suitable wood stick.

- Push the variable convertible top compartment enclosure trim - 1 - upward until it engages - arrow A -.






- Unclip the variable convertible top compartment enclosure - 2 - on the luggage compartment side trim panel - arrows B -.

- Remove the expanding clip - 2 - with the (80 - 200).






- Pry off the luggage compartment side trim - 1 - using the (80 - 200) from the body - arrows -.

- Disconnect the reed sensor connector and remove the luggage compartment side trim panel.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

• If the trim clamps remain in the body mounting points, remove them and insert them in the trim.

• Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

- Press the luggage compartment side trim until it engages audibly.

- Fold the rear lid seal lip over the luggage compartment side trim.
