Right Exhaust Manifold






Right Exhaust Manifold

Removing






When installing, bring all cable ties back to same positions.

- Remove the right catalytic converter. Refer to => [ Right Catalytic Converter ] Right Catalytic Converter.

- Remove the front noise insulation - 1 -..

- Remove the vacuum hose - 1 - from the air guide pipe connection.






- Loosen the clamps - arrows - and remove the air guide pipe.

- Remove the air filter housing.






- Remove the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (G39) - 2 -.






- Remove the bolts - 1 through 4 - and remove the heat shield.






- Remove the nuts - 7 and 9 - and the heat shield bracket.






- Remove nuts - 1 through 6 - and - 8 - and the exhaust manifold.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to:

Replace seal and nuts.

Coat the thread on the nut with hot bolt paste; for the correct hot bolt paste, refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Position the exhaust manifold with the catalytic converter seal and tighten the nuts. Refer to => [ Right Exhaust Manifold, Tightening Specifications and Sequence ] Exhaust Manifold Overview.






- Install the HO2S.

- Install the air filter housing.

- Install the right catalytic converter. Refer to => [ Right Catalytic Converter ] Right Catalytic Converter.

- Install the noise insulation..
