Front Charge Air Cooling Circuit Radiator

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hose Clamps Up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)

Drip Tray (VAS 6208)

Hose Clip Pliers (VAS 6362)

Removing

- Remove the lock carrier cover - 3 -.






- Remove the bumper cover end plate - 3 -.






- Remove the left and right bolt - 2 - and push the bumper cover slightly forward.






Ignore - 1 -.

The bumper is not shown in the following illustrations.

- Release the retaining tabs - A arrows - and tilt the left and right air ducts - 1 - toward the center of the vehicle - B arrow -.






- Place the (VAS 6208) under the front charge air cooling circuit radiator.

- Loosen the hose clamp - arrow -, then clamp off the coolant hose with the (3094) and remove the hose.






- Remove the bolt - 1 -.

- Loosen the hose clamp - arrow -, then clamp off the coolant hose with the (3094) and remove the hose.






- Press the catch downward - A arrow - and move the front charge air cooling circuit radiator in direction of - B arrow -.

- Remove the front charge air cooling circuit radiator from the radiator - A arrows - and move it in direction of - B arrow -.






- Remove the front charge air cooling circuit radiator downward from the right side - C arrow -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Radiator Overview ] Radiator Overview.

If there are small impressions on the fins. Refer to => [ Coolers and Condensers ] Coolers and Condensers.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model, refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Install the bumper cover and end plate.

- Install the lock carrier cover.

- Fill with coolant => [ Filling ] Service and Repair.

All of the coolant must be changed if the radiator was replaced.
