Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair






EVAP Canister

Removing

- Follow all safety precautions. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Fuel Supply System.

- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Fuel Supply System.

- Remove the left rear underbody panel.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Press the release button and disconnect the bleed line - 3 - to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve 1 (N80).

- Disconnect the vent line - 6 - to the fuel tank by pressing the release button.

- Press the release and remove the vent line - 5 - to the air filter for the leak detection system.

- Remove the bolts - 2, 4 and 8 - and the EVAP canister - 7 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ EVAP Canister System Overview ] EVAP Canister System Overview.

- Connect the air and vent lines until they engage audibly.

- Install the left rear underbody panel.
