Air Intake Housing - Add On Parts Overview

Component Group - Air Guide Housing, Fresh Air Blower, Dust and Pollen Filter






1 Foam Seal

• Replace if damaged.

2 Air Intake Duct

• With back pressure/fresh air and recirculation door.

• Do not disassemble.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Intake Duct ] Air Intake Duct.

3 Connecting Element

• Between the Recirculation door motor (V113) and the recirculation door.

• Do not disassemble.

• Lightly coat the bearing areas with grease. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

4 Control Motor Door Motor (V113)

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Recirculation Door Motor (V113) ] Recirculation Door Motor (V113).

5 Connecting Element

• Between the Airflow door motor (V71) and the back pressure/fresh air door.

• Do not disassemble.

• Lightly coat the bearing areas with grease. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

6 Airflow Door Motor (V71)

• Function, refer to => [ Airflow Door Motor (V71) ] Airflow Door Motor (V71).

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Airflow Door Motor (V71) ] Airflow Door Motor (V71).

7 Screw

• Tightening specification:

• For control motors: 1 Nm

• For air intake duct: 1 Nm

• For air intake housing: 1 Nm

8 Acoustic Cover

9 Bracket

10 Air Intake Housing

• Do not disassemble.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Intake Housing ] Air Intake Housing.

11 Foam Seal

• Replace if damaged.

• Glued onto the air intake duct to seal the connection point between the air intake duct and the A/C unit.

12 Bolt Point

• The air intake housing can be additionally bolted with the bolts - 7 - as needed.

13 Locking Tabs Of The Air Intake Housing

• Between the upper and lower part.

• If the locking tab no longer holds, bolt the upper and lower part of the air intake housing together at bolting points - 12 -.

14 Dust and Pollen Filter

• Different versions, refer to Electronic Parts Catalog.

• Notes on version with activated charcoal element, refer to => [ Dust and Pollen Filter with an Activated Charcoal Filter Element ] Description and Operation.

• Follow the replacement intervals.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Dust and Pollen Filter ] Service and Repair.

15 Dust and Pollen Filter Shaft Cover

• Depending on the version, the housing cover may contain foam strips attached to it (for insulation in the space between the cover item 18 => [ (Item 18) Cover ] 18 ). Refer to => [ Dust and Pollen Filter ] Service and Repair.

16 Fresh Air Blower (V2)

• Different versions, refer to Electronic Parts Catalog.

• With Fresh air blower control module (J126).

• Check using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

17 Screw

• 1 Nm

• Quantity 3

19 Quick-Connect Coupling

• 0.5 Nm

• Quantity 2
