Rear Seat Entertainment Internally Threaded Pop Rivet, Riveting to Backrest Frame

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Internally threaded pop rivet pliers (VAS 5073)

Procedure






- Remove the seat backrest cover and cushion:

• Standard seat and sport seat (manual or power), refer to => [ Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion, Standard Seat/Sport Seat ] Backrest Cover With Backrest Cushion, Standard Seat/Sport Seat.

• Super sport seat => [ Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion, Super Sport Seat ] Backrest Cover With Backrest Cushion, Super Sport Seat.

• Multicontour seat => [ Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Multi-contour Seat ] Backrest Cover With Backrest Cushion For Multi-Contour Seat.

- Insert the M6 threaded pin - 2 - into the pop rivet pliers (VAS 5073) and install internally threaded pop rivet - 1 - all the way.

- Insert the pop rivet all the way into the hole in backrest frame and then compress it with the pop rivet pliers.

- Remove the threaded pin with the pop rivet pliers one more time.

- Install the bracket for the Rear Seat Entertainment, refer to => [ Rear Seat Entertainment Bracket ] Rear Seat Entertainment Bracket.
