Shift Cable and Selector Cable Overview

• Grease bearing areas and slide surfaces with Grease (G 000 450 02).






1 Retaining Washer

• Not needed with the plastic relay lever

2 Cable Retainer

• For selector cable to relay lever

• Allocation

• Beginning approximately 03.2007, the relay lever mount was changed to plastic, refer to => [ Plastic Relay Lever ] 02Q Manual Transmission

• Removing from plastic relay lever, refer to => [ Plastic Relay Lever ] 02Q Manual Transmission

• Pressing onto plastic relay lever, refer to => [ Plastic Relay Lever ] 02Q Manual Transmission

• Release to adjust selector mechanism => [ Release the cable retainer for the selector and shift cables as follows: ] Adjustments

• Release to adjust selector mechanism => [ Release the cable retainer for the selector and shift cables as follows: ] Adjustments

5 Shift Cable

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Shift Cable and Selector Cable ] Service and Repair

• Adjusting, refer to => [ Shift Mechanism, Adjusting ] Adjustments

• Beginning with MY 2008, the mounting on the shift lever inside the shift mechanism was changed

6 Lock Washers

• Discontinued from MY 2008

7 Circlips

8 Selector Cable

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Shift Cable and Selector Cable ] Service and Repair

• Adjusting, refer to => [ Shift Mechanism, Adjusting ] Adjustments

• Beginning with MY 2008, the mounting on the shift bracket inside the shift mechanism was changed

9 Bolt

• 20 Nm

10 Grommet

11 Bushing

12 Cable Mounting Bracket

• Can be made of plastic or metal
