Clutch Master Cylinder: Service and Repair






Clutch Master Cylinder

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Pliers (T10005)

Removing

- Remove the mounting bracket. Refer to => [ Mounting Bracket ] Mounting Bracket.

- Release actuator rod mounting clip in clutch pedal with (T10005).






- Place a spacer - A - between the clutch pedal and the stop and press the clutch pedal forward.






Length of spacer = approximately 40 mm (for example 1/2" socket insert)

- Release the retaining clip - B - and pull the clutch master cylinder out of the mounting bracket - arrow 1 - and - arrow 2 -.

Installing

Clutch pedal in "unloaded" position.

- Attach mounting clip - 2 - to the clutch master cylinder actuator rod - 1 -.






- Place a spacer - A - between the clutch pedal and the stop and press the clutch pedal forward.






Length of spacer = approximately 40 mm (for example 1/2" socket insert)

- Secure the clutch master cylinder on the mounting bracket - arrow 1 - and - arrow 2 -.

- Press clutch master cylinder actuator rod - 1 - in direction of - arrow - until mounting clip - 2 - engages audibly in clutch pedal.






- Install mounting bracket. Refer to => [ Mounting Bracket ] Mounting Bracket.
