Carefully lower the vehicle until the engine/transmission are properly positioned in the engine compartment. Make sure the vehicle is not resting on any part of the engine/transmission. Support the engine/transmission with a chain hoist (A) and carefully raise the engine/transmission into place.
NOTE: Reinstall the mounting bolts/support nuts in the sequence given in the following steps. Failure to follow this sequence may cause excessive noise and vibration, and reduce engine mount life.

3. Install the mounting bolts into the upper half of the side engine mount bracket. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

4. Tighten the upper transmission mount bracket mounting bolts and nut to the specified torque.
NOTE: If bolt (A) was removed by mistake during removal, the upper transmission mount bracket must be replaced as an assembly.

5. Lift and support the engine with the engine support hanger (AAR-T1256) and the engine hanger balance bar (VSB02C000019). Attach the front arm (A) to the front cylinder head with a spacer (B) and a 10 x 1.25 mm bolt (C). Remove the rear arm from the engine hanger balance bar, and install the 2008 V6 attach arm (SIL02C000033), then attach the 2008 V6 attachment arm (D) to the rear cylinder head with a 8 x 1.25 mm bolt (E).

6. Remove the chain hoist, then raise the vehicle on the lift.

7. Attach the front subframe adapter (VSB02C000016) to the subframe by hanging the belt (A) over the front of the subframe (B), then secure the belt with its stop (C).

8. Line up the slots in the front subframe adapter arms with the bolt holes on the jack base, then securely attach them with four bolts, then raise the front subframe up to the body.

9. Loosely install the four subframe mounting bolts (A), four 12 x 1.25 mm bolts (B) with the stiffeners (C).

10. Loosely install the subframe middle mount.

11. Remove the jack and the front subframe adapter.

12. Loosely tighten the new right-rear subframe mounting bolt (A) and the new right-rear stiffener mounting bolt (B); insert the subframe alignment pin (070AG-SJAA10S) through the positioning slot (C) on the rear stiffener, through the positioning hole (D) on the subframe, and into the positioning hole (E) on the body, then tighten the subframe mounting bolt.

13. Loosely tighten the new left-rear subframe mounting bolt and the new left-rear stiffener mounting bolt using the same procedure as the right-rear with the subframe alignment pin.

14. Loosely tighten the new subframe mounting bolt (A) and the stiffener mounting bolt (B) on both sides to the front stiffener.

15. Tighten the right-rear subframe mounting bolt (A) to the specified torque.

16. Tighten the left-rear subframe mounting bolt (B) to the specified torque.

17. Tighten the front subframe mounting bolts (C) to the specified torque.
NOTE: Check all of the subframe mounting bolts, and retighten if necessary.

18. Tighten the front and rear stiffener mounting bolts (D) to the specified torque.
NOTE: Before tightening the stiffener mounting bolts, check that the positioning holes and slot are aligned using the subframe alignment pin.

19. Tighten the bolts securing the subframe middle mount.

20. Tighten the bolts securing the lower transmission mount.

21. Lower the vehicle on the lift.

22. Remove the engine support hanger, the engine hanger balance bar and the 2008 V6 attachment arm.

23. Tighten the front engine mount bolt (A), then install the front engine mount stop (B) and connect the vacuum hose (C).

24. Tighten the rear engine mount bolt (A), then install the rear engine mount stop (B).

25. Loosen the mounting bolts for the upper half of the side engine mount bracket, then retighten them to the specified torque.

26. Loosen the mounting bolts and nut for the upper transmission mount bracket, then retighten them to the specified torque.

27. Install the connector bracket to the front cylinder head.

28. Install the engine mount control solenoid valve bracket to the rear cylinder head, then install the harness clamp (A) and connect the vacuum hose (B).
