Solenoid gear selector assembly

Preparatory work

Removing components

Remove:
- the tunnel compartment. See: Floor console Floor Console
- the gear selector knob. See: Knob, gear shift selector, B5254T7, AW55-50/51SN Knob, Gear Shift Selector.

Removal

Removing the solenoid




Disconnect the solenoid switch.




Pry off the metal tab using a screwdriver. Pull the solenoid and its cables straight out.

Installation

Installing the solenoid




Insert the solenoid and press the lock facing into place.




Connect the solenoid switch.

Finishing

Installing components

Install:
- the gear selector knob. See: Knob, gear shift selector, B5254T7, AW55-50/51SN Knob, Gear Shift Selector
- the center console. See: Floor console Floor Console.
Check the function.
