Removal

Disconnect the negative battery lead.

Warning! Do not use measuring equipment on the supplemental restraint system (SRS) electrical connector.

Warning! Pyrotechnical SRS components must never be taken apart, repaired or transferred to another vehicle.

Remove the side panel. Refer to: Side panel load space Side Panel Loadspace





Remove connector. Refer to: Igniter wire connector Igniter Wire Connector





Torque: Safety belt retractor rear to body, 40 Nm

Installation

Install in reverse order.

Check belt function. Refer to: Seat belt function, check Testing and Inspection

Perform an inspection. Refer to: Supplementary restraint system (SRS), inspection Testing and Inspection
