- Switch off the ignition. Wait 10 seconds.
Check whether the vehicle is to be equipped with an adaptive seat belt force limiter or driver's lap seat belt tensioner.
Check whether it is possible to read off the serial number for the seat belt (inertia) reel sensor. If the serial number can be read off, the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) is programmed that the vehicle must be equipped with an adaptive seat belt force limiter. If the serial number cannot be read off, the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) is programmed that the vehicle must be equipped with a driver's lap seat belt tensioner.
- Switch on the ignition. Wait 10 seconds
- Read off by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.
Remove the faulty equipment.

Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.




- Switch off the ignition. Wait 10 seconds
- Disconnect the battery negative lead
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Connect the battery negative lead. Wait 10 seconds.

Warning! There must not be anyone inside the passenger compartment when the battery is connected.

Read diagnostic trouble codes by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.
If the fault is intermittent, the fault has been remedied.
