Signal missing

Checking the function of the driver door module (DDM)




- Ignition on.
Check the power supply to the control module by pressing the up and down buttons for the power window mechanism. The window must open or close.

Is the function OK?

Yes - Checking the communication with the driver door module (DDM)

No - Checking the power supply and ground for the driver door module (DDM)

- Ignition off.

Check that fuse F4 in the engine compartment fusebox is intact. If the fuse is blown, check the circuit after the fuse. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Check that the fuse for the driver door module (DDM) in the central electronic module (CEM) is intact. If the fuse is blown, check the circuit after the fuse. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Connect a voltmeter between the output on central electronic module (CEM) terminal (#C31) (#31) and ground (the supply for the driver door module (DDM)).
With the ignition off the voltage between the output and ground should be battery voltage.

Note! The reading can be taken on the reverse of the connector on the central electronic module (CEM). However, the central electronic module (CEM) must first be disconnected. Take care not to damage the terminals. If the reading cannot be taken in this way, connect the adapter wiring.

Check the cable between the driver door module (DDM) and ground. Check for an open-circuit.

Hint: The CAN communication with the control module is probably OK if the P/N can be read off. In that case the fault is probably intermittent and will then be more difficult to trace.




- Ignition on
- Try to communicate with the driver door module (DDM) by reading off the P/N
- Click on the symbol for VCT2000 to begin reading off

Verification

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Check the function of the control module by pressing the up and down buttons for the power window mechanism. The window must open or close.
Also activate the central locking buttons. The doors must lock and unlock.

Is the function OK?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
