Function test
- Remove the key from the ignition switch.
The steering column lock must be locked. It must be impossible to turn the steering wheel.
- Insert the key in the ignition switch.
The steering column lock must be unlocked. It must be possible to turn the steering wheel.

- Ignition off.
Check the power supply cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #B10 (#10) and the steering column lock module (SCL) terminal #A2. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Check the operation of the steering column lock. Insert the ignition key in the ignition switch. The steering column lock must then be unlocked. It must be possible to turn the steering wheel.
