Preparations

Remove the drive shaft seal




Use puller 999 5731 PULLER 999 5731 Puller.
Unscrew the puller. Install a hook gradually between the shaft and sealing ring.
Secure the hooks to the puller. Tighten them using the screws.
Install the mounting bracket and the nut.
Extract the sealing ring.

Install the drive shaft seal





Note! Clean thoroughly before installing the new seal

Apply a small amount of grease to the sealing lip.
Use drift 999 5730 Drift 999 5730 Drift and shaft 999 1801 STANDARD SHAFT 999 1801 Standard Shaft.
Carefully tap the drive shaft seal in until the drift is in contact with the transmission housing.

Install the drive shaft in the transmission

Remove the drive shaft seal




Use puller 999 5732 Puller 999 5732 Puller.
Unscrew the puller. Install a hook gradually between the shaft and sealing ring.
Secure the hooks to the puller. Tighten them using the screws.
Install the mounting bracket and the nut.
Extract the sealing ring.

Install the drive shaft seal
