Seal CV joint housing, replacing

Removal

Preparatory work
Remove the right-hand drive shaft. See: Drive shaft right, replacing, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S, TF-80SC, B6324S, TF-80SC AWD Drive Shaft Right, Replacing. Remove the left-hand drive shaft. See: Drive shaft left, replacing, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S, TF-80SC, B6324S, TF-80SC AWD Drive Shaft Left, Replacing.

Removing the sealing ring for the CV joint housing from the stub axle




Carefully remove the sealing ring.

Note! The sealing ring will be used again during installation.

Installation

Installing the sealing ring for the CV joint housing on the stub axle





Note! Replace the sealing ring if it is damaged or worn.

Clean around the constant velocity joint before installing the sealing ring.
Carefully install the sealing ring. Ensure that the sealing ring is correctly positioned on the drive shaft.

Finishing
Install the right-hand drive shaft. See: Drive shaft right, replacing, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S, TF-80SC, B6324S, TF-80SC AWD Drive Shaft Right, Replacing. Install the left-hand drive shaft. See: Drive shaft left, replacing, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S, TF-80SC, B6324S, TF-80SC AWD Drive Shaft Left, Replacing.
