Control arm lower, replacing

Removing the lower control arm





Remove:
- the spring. See Spring rear, replacing Rear Suspension
- the screw in the sub-frame for the lower control arm
- the control arm
- control arm rail (5740-1).

Tightening torque
For tightening torques, see Specifications [1][2]Specifications.

Note! Tighten all joints and rubber bushings with the rear suspension in the normal position.

Installing the lower control arm

Install:
- rail (5742-1) in the control arm
- the control arm in the sub-frame. Do not tighten yet
- the spring. See Spring rear, replacing Rear Suspension.
Raise the control arms to their normal position using the tensioner. See Tensioner 999 5659, User instructions User Instructions.
Tighten the M12 screw for the inner mounting for the control arm.

Note! If the car is equipped with Bi-Xenon lamps, the position sensor must be calibrated. Carry out calibration according to VIDA Vehicle communication, Function area 3 Electrical system, Rear electronic module (REM).
