Ballast Bi-Xenon headlamp, replacing

Removing / installing

Safety precautions
Always cut the current to the headlamps before beginning work. Do not touch the high and low beam stalk during work due to the high voltage and risk of explosion.
Remove the keys and lock the vehicle.
Allow the lamp to cool. Always use protective goggles and gloves when working on the lamp.
The glass body of the Bi-Xenon-lamp is filled with different gases and metal vapors which are under pressure. Never touch the glass body of the lamp. Only touch the lamp at the socket. The lamp must only be used in enclosed headlamps.

Preparatory work
See: Safety precautions.
Remove the headlamp. See: Headlamp/bulb, replacing Headlamp/Bulb, Replacing.

Note! Disconnect the headlamp connector. Work with the headlamp removed from the vehicle.

Removing the ballast
Slacken off the screws. Use Torx 20 with holes.
Disconnect the connectors.

Installing the ballast
Connect the connectors.
Install the screws. Tighten.
