- Ignition on
- Depress the brake pedal. Move the gear selector to "Quickshift" position
- Move the gear selector to + and check that the gear selection is updated in the display on the driver information module (DIM).
Move the gear selector to -. Check that the gear selection is updated.
Was the function OK?
Yes - Troubleshooting procedure complete

- Ignition off
- Remove the gear selector connector.
Check the connector (gear selector assembly). Check for bent or pressed in pins.
Check the power supply cable between gear selector module (GSM) terminal #1 and transmission control module (TCM) terminal #16 (#A46). Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Remedy as necessary.

- Reinstall the components, reconnect the connectors etc.
- Ignition on
- Depress the brake pedal. Move the gear selector to "M" (Manual) position
- Move the gear selector to + and check that the gear selection is updated in the display on the driver information module (DIM)
- Move the gear selector to -. Check that the gear selection is updated.
