Printed circuit board gear selector assembly

Preparatory work

Removing components

Remove:
- the tunnel compartment. See: Floor console Floor Console Floor console Floor Console
- the gear selector knob. See: Knob, gear shift selector, B5254T7, AW55-50/51SN Knob, Gear Shift Selector.

Removal

Removing the top panel assembly





Disconnect:
- the contact for the cable harness and disconnect the connector
- the contact for the solenoid.




Carefully release the catches. Raise the panel slightly.




Carefully release the catches.
Remove the top panel assembly with wiring and printed circuit board.

Installation

Installing the top panel assembly




Check that the guard over the transmission side piece is correctly positioned.




Position the panel in and press the catches, 4 pcs, securely in place at each corner. Install the electrical connector and connect the contact to the cable harness. Connect the contact to the solenoid.

Finishing

Installing components

Install:
- the gear selector knob. See: Knob, gear shift selector, B5254T7, AW55-50/51SN Knob, Gear Shift Selector
- the center console. See: Floor console Floor Console Floor console Floor Console.

Note! Calibrate the integrated position sensor, which is in the gear lever assemble, once the unit has been replaced or has been disconnected.

When replacing the position sensor, the new position sensor must be calibrated. Carry out calibration according to VIDA Vehicle communication, Function area 4 transmission control module (TCM).
