Power Steering Fluid Cooler: Service and Repair






Oil cooler steering gear, replacing

Removal

Preparatory work
Remove the front bumper cover. See Bumper front, replacing Service and Repair (-2004) or Bumper front, replacing Service and Repair (2005-).

Removing the oil cooler




Slacken off the screws (1). Fold down the oil cooler.

Note! Position a container under the oil cooler.

Remove:
- the two clamps (2)
- the hoses
- the oil cooler.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see Tightening torque [1][2]Mechanical Specifications.

Installing the oil cooler





Install:
- the hoses on the oil cooler
- the 2 clamps for the servo hose
- the 2 M6 screws for the oil cooler.

Finishing
Install the front bumper cover. See Bumper front, replacing Service and Repair (-2004) or Bumper front, replacing Service and Repair (2005-).
