Remedy the CD-ROM player connector K and the RTI connector A for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the wiring between the RTI control module terminals #A7, #A19 and #A22 and the CD-ROM player terminals #K3, #K4 and #K5. Check for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Activate System test function to test CD-ROM player, see System Test System Test.
Check if CD-ROM player is OK or not. If the CD-ROM player functions OK is displayed.
