Handbrake lever, replacing

Preparatory work

Disconnecting the battery lead
Disconnect the negative battery lead.

Removal

Removing the center console
Remove the center console. See Replacing center console Replacing Center Console.

Removing the handbrake lever





Remove:
- the connector from the handbrake switch
- the connector's mounting screws and the connector
- the 3 handbrake lever mounting screws
- the brake cables from the lever unit
- the lever unit.

Installation

Installing the handbrake lever

Install:
- the brake cables on the lever unit
- the lever unit
- the handbrake switch
- the connector

Installing the center console
Install the center console following Replacing center console Replacing Center Console.

Finishing

Adjustment




Connect the negative battery lead.
Adjust the handbrake following Parking brake Service and Repair.
