Replacing Center Console






Replacing center console

Preparations

Ignition off and disconnect the battery negative lead




Make a note of the anti-theft radio code.

Removing panels and cover





Remove:
- the seat cushion according to Rear seats Rear Seats
- 2 screws at the rear edge of the center console.
- the coin holder.
- 2 switches and the accompanying connectors for the rear power windows Power windows switch rear tunnel panel Convertible, replacement .
- the parking brake panel.
- the cover in the center console locker.
- the center console locker with 2 switches and accompanying connectors for the heated seats at the front of the center console

Removing screws and connectors





Remove:
- 2 screws under the cover in the storage compartment.
- 3 connectors.
Lift up the rear edge of the center console and pull backwards.

Removing the center console armrest





Remove:
- 4 screws for the lower section.
- the 2 screws for the lock.

Removing rear panel





Remove:
- 1 connector for the bass speaker Power switch rear loudspeakers Convertible, replacement .
- 1 connector for the 12 volt outlet.
- 6 nuts on the side.
- 3 screws from below.

Installing rear panel




When replacing the center console 6 holes must be drilled for the rear panel in the new center console.
Cut out a piece of the old center console and use it as a template to drill holes in the new center console.

Removing center console locker





Remove:
- 4 screws for the center console locker.
- the cover with a flat screwdriver.
- the connector for the center console locker.

Removing the panel, center console




Remove the 5 screws at the bottom.

Reassembly
Assemble in reverse order.
