Checking the signal cable
Check combined instrument panel, engine control module (ECM) and throttle unit connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check signal cables between combined instrument panel #A2 (breakout box #2) and #A3 (breakout box #3) and ABS control module #10 and #11 for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults and intermittent short-circuit to each other according to Checking wiring and terminals. Check signal cables between ABS control module #10 and #11 and engine control module (ECM) #B1 and #B13 for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Check signal cables between engine control module (ECM) #A55 and #A37 and throttle unit #4 and #3 for an intermittent open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Note! When all control modules are connected to the CAN-buss the resistance between CAN-L and CAN-H signal cables should be approximately 60 ohms.
