DTC 1-4-1 and 1-4-3

DTC 1-4-1 AND 1-4-3. TEMPERATURE SWITCH FAULTY CONTROL SIGNAL:








DTC 1-4-1 = Driver side temperature switch giving faulty control signal.
DTC 1-4-3 = Passenger side temperature switch giving faulty control signal.

- Condition for DTC:
If signal from control module temperature switch on the driver or passenger side is faulty, the control module records the fault and stores the DTC.

- Cause of fault:
Fault in control module temperature switch on driver or passenger side. There may also be a fault in the control module internal wiring.

- Symptoms:
Fault warning to driver. LEDs by A/C and REC buttons flash for 20 sec. Control module ignores the faulty signal and substitutes a preset value equivalent to 22 °C (72 °F).
Internal fault in control module. Fault in control module temperature switch or internal wiring.

Check DTC:





- Delete DTCs. Deleting DTCS
- Ignition off.
- Ignition on.
- Test ECC-system. Test Procedures
- Check if DTC recurs: Start test mode 1 and read off DTCs. Initializing Test Modes
- If DTC 1-4-1 or 1-4-3 recurs. Test with new control module and carry out self-adjustment of damper motor limit positions. Self Adjustment of Damper Motor Limit Positions
